Girl Talk

nightripper.jpgIf you want your music to be fun and amazing, then get Girl Talk’s mash-up album Night Ripper. He mixes more than 200 samples into 16 tracks and it sounds totally irresistible and extremely groovy. A list of the samples can be found @ wikipedia. (Thank GoD for that.)

Anno MMV

I took part in the Eindejaars-CD thing, I sent what you see below to three people and I got three CD’s back of which two were almost identical and pretty disappointing (with too many songs of Filip Kowlier, Oasis, Athlete, Monza, The White Stripes etc. I can hear that when I switch on my radio, which I almost never do so, you know, call me a snob, call me a stupid dyke for wanting to be surprised, it is what it is, disappointing and predictable) and one CD made by this guy
from Beyond Jazz which took me on a pretty exciting trip and totally made up for the lack of originality of the other two. Lots of jazz and soul or nu-jazz or old-soul, or whatever it is called. So, thank you Oemebamo for making it worthwhile in the end.
